my phone has 16gb built in storage and i need a sd card that is cheap w/ fast write speed and high capacity. i looked at the 16 gb class 6 but is like $90. its too expensive plus considering the fact that my phone already has 16gb built in, i thought that adding a 16gb more is a bit overkill(my internal mem. still has 13gb left). and putting +10gb worth of data on a thing thats got a history of getting worn out and eventually not working seems too risky for me. 4gb is too small and might cost you even more coz if you filled that up, you will likely to buy another microsd w/ higher capacity. so 8gb(mine got 7.59gb wc i thought was great) for me is the perfect one. The packaging was surprisingly easy to open. its now made of paper(i just recently learned about amazons "reduced packaging"). its great they got rid of those stupid hard plastic packaging that is a pain in the butt to open and can cut your fingers bad.

its got what i needed, and so far i think this microsd is very robust. the adapter works good. i have only owned this product for less than a week , written and deleted huge files multiple times and the write speed is wicked fast. you can really see a huge difference bet c2 and c4 microsd. that extra write speed i think is very much worth the addtional cost you will be paying. put HD(720p) vids on the this one and the playback has no lag at all. im just not sure how a 1080p vid will playback with this, because 1080p's playback is @ 9mbps and i only put 720p vids on this microsd because i only use it for my phone a 1080p will not make much of a difference on how it appears on my phone's screen.

also if your phone can record 720p, i think going for class 6 is the best thing to do. i just hope this microsd will last long engouh to be used for my phone after my current one. i also dont know about this items warranty but i will make an update for that in the future. buy this! you will not go wrong.

The MicroSD card is a solid five stars. The 8GB capacity is near true to a full eight GB (before i transfered anything, the properties said about 7.59, which is a given for any memory storage device, but still good to check), and meets all my needs (music mostly for a Samsung Eternity, along with video, pictures and documents). The class 6 suprisingly makes a huge difference in the transfer speeds and, no joke, do take the class into account when looking for these cards. The adapter works with it as well, but do check to make sure the adapter is sd*HC* compatible(other consumers had issues with the adapter, and i can agree with them, but i only want to point out the actual MicroSD card itself, as i don't use the adapter anyway). On a side note, whether or not it was amazon or ups or electronics expo, i recieved the card well before the expected date using regular ground shipping (4 days). SO going back, on Transcend, the microSD card is perfect, the 8GB card is a good buy of you want more storage and class 6 is nice, and works well with the Samsung Eternity (for all those in my exact case), and i would definitely recommend the product and brand!

I ordered two of these class 10 cards with good results-- as expected.

I use one in a tiny video camera as an upgrade to allow for greater video storage on a single battery charge (the card with which it was equipped would fill before the camera battery was expended). This card also provides for quicker uploads from the camera (being a faster class 10 replacing a class 6).

I use the other micro (in its supplied standard SD adapter) for my netbook Window's 7 system's "ReadyBoost." Reboot or wake from hibernate is very fast as a result, and my machine accepts punishing workloads easier than when I used a 2 GB class 4 SD card. I understand that anything faster than class 6 and anything larger than 4GB will work, but with no increase in performance. However, it is convenient to have a fast 8GB storage device always available which I can eject and use in an emergency.

I also appreciate the clear markings, making it easy for me to keep up with my small collection. They work fine.

UPDATE: With more or less daily use, each card lasted just about five months. My videos suddenly became unplayable on the first, and my netbook stopped recognizing the other. The failures were within a week or two of each other.

I believe that is about the same longevity of the one this replaced in the video camera, but considerably less than the much slower one replaced in the netbook, and so was not disappointed.

I have use Transcend CF cards and SD cards and so I had no issue when buying a micro SD card. I have used this card and others in my phones, point and shoot and professional digital SLR's. The cards have never failed in any way, they are class 6 which is the current market fastest you can easily purchase. They are out with faster cards in some brands but much more costly and hard to find currently.

When purchasing any SD card now I would make sure it is class 6 and not class 4. 4 is slower and being you have the option for 6 and it is usually only a few dollars more I would go with 6 class especially for using in cameras and if you have settings for fine/best quality as the files will be larger and thus the class 6 card will process faster for less lag time in shooting as well as transfer to computer or printer.

As for my phone the micro is used to store music and photos and works great in both LG and other phones I have had and with the SD regular sleeve to put the micro card in you can transfer content almost anywhere since so many of todays electronics have SD card slots.

I recommend this product and as with anything you buy through Amazon as the vendor you have 30 days to test drive the product and it is doesn't work or meet you needs or satisfaction return it. As for buying through other merchants that are on Amazon look for their specific return policies which are often NOT the same as Amazon's. Do your homework first before purchasing.

Excellent product for what it is. The additional adapter makes it all the more attractive although it is possible to buy the card only a bit cheaper elsewhere. I found the transfer speed more than adequate and so it should be being a class 6. For what I use it, a lower class would have been okay; after all, with a class 6, the real difference is in transferring files from and to it (around 6MB per second)and usually I have a few extra seconds in my life to spare! This is SD 2.0 compliant and also has a mechanical switch on the side to stop data being deleted accidentally.
I wouldn't buy anything other than a class 6, just to make sure that it is compatible with whatever hardware comes next.
